The world of education is expected to be one vehicle to prepare the nation's generation, so the birth of human resources that are reliable and have the ability to face the dynamic development of science and technology today are fast, precise and effective. Math was never out of view of education in Indonesia.
Learning mathematics is a student process students to have the ability to think mathematically, develop skills and math skills of students to be able to apply mathematical thinking in everyday life and in learning other sciences.
Mathematical thinking need to be taught. Mathematical thinking is a key capability in the calculation and math lessons, which need to be processed to instill in students the thinking and decisions independently.
We conducted this study aims to describe the work done in improving the competence of pedagogical, professional and social teaching of mathematics at SMP RSBI through Lesson Study in 3 (three) RSBI namely SMP NEGERI 1 Wates (RSBI), SMP NEGERI 1 BANTUL SMP N 1 strain ( RSBI), Kulon Progo.
Conclusion after extensive research:
1.      Teacher Competencies developed include: Competency develop realistic approach to mathematics, Mathematical Thinking Developing Competence and competency developed a method of discussion, between teachers and pupils and between pupils and students, methods of solving problems (problem solving) and the method of discovery (investigation).
2.      Teacher competence in the field of Mathematics Realistics developing approach include: the utilization of the real world to explore mathematical concepts, mathematical concept formation, mathematics builders, as well as developing formal mathematics in the form abstract
3.      Teacher competence in the field of mathematical thinking dveloping attitudes, including: trying to ask, trying to understand the math problem, trying to find a math problem, trying to solve mathematical problems, trying to associate mathematics with each other, trying to use the data to solve the problem, try to record & communicate activities solving problems, trying to organize & arrange the objects of mathematics.
4.      Teacher competence in the development of problem solving activities which successfully developed include: making math relevant to / be able to explore the mathematics of everyday life - the day, able to use mathematics to solve everyday problems, able to use various sources of learning, the idea / problem-solving ideas are pure or derived from his own experience, able to solve math problems or issues, and translate the mathematical problem.
5.      Teacher competence in the field of development of mathematical thinking methods are successfully developed include: inductive thinking, thinking analogy, deductive reasoning, integrative thinking, thinking developed, abstract thinking, thinking simplify, make conclusions, think about specific things, using symbols, and using a statement with numbers, quantity and pictures.
